Miracle Baby appeals to fans after 4th surgery

Peter Miracle Baby is seeking support from his fans to help cover his hospital bills.

Mugithi artiste Peter "Miracle Baby," is seeking support from his fans to help cover his hospital bills after undergoing a successful fourth surgery.

According to his wife, Carol Katrue, the couple is seeking to raise Ksh500,000 to settle the medical expenses and enable their discharge.

Katrue opted not to disclose the name of the hospital, citing the influx of visitors, which doctors have cautioned against due to Miracle Baby's health condition.

“We haven’t revealed the hospital’s details because his fans and our friends have been coming, which the doctors have discouraged for Peter’s well-being. We have been cleared for discharge but are still awaiting the necessary funds,” she explained during a phone conversation.

She also chose not to address the earlier support pledged by President William Ruto.

“At this moment, we are relying on ourselves, but Peter is recovering well.”

This marks his fourth surgery in a brief period, occurring only two and a half months after his third operation. The ex-Sailor Gang member has been battling intestinal problems. Katrue disclosed in January that the singer has been dealing with stomach complications since 2018.

“He has been battling stomach problems since 2018, starting with his initial surgery. The doctors initially removed what they identified as a growth after conducting a CT scan and discovered blockages,” she shared.

In May 2023, when the issue resurfaced, the couple revisited the same hospital and were advised to undergo an ultrasound.

“They couldn’t locate his appendix during the ultrasound, prompting a CT scan. It turned out another hospital had already removed his appendix. We had initially believed they removed the growth. Additionally, they hadn’t repositioned his organs properly,” Katrue explained.

After the fourth surgery, videos surfaced depicting Peter in high spirits at the hospital, providing reassurance to friends and family regarding his recovery.

“Praise the Lord. I have to pull through this, right? We’ll catch up later,” he confidently stated.

Former NRG radio presenter Elodie Zone shared that tattoos have been a significant support in her struggle with depression during a candid conversation with Flossy Trukid.

When Trukid inquired about the extent of her tattoos, Elodie disclosed she has around 27 or 28 tattoos adding that she finds solace in adorning her body with ink.

"How many tattoos do you have? Trukid quipped to which she responded saying;

"I have 27/28 Tattoos. I am depressed, so I just tattoo my body. "

Elodie has been a champion of mental health and in March 2024, she appealed to landlords to allow pets as they helped in reducing depression in people battling the same.

"Finding an apartment that accepts pets has been a real struggle. Pets help in stabilizing the emotional well-being of young people and, in turn, help fight depression

"I feel like that is something young people should actually consider, a lot of people would not struggle much with mental health if they had a pet that helps with emotional stability and routine.”
