Musician Bahati has revealed that wedding bells are ringing and the planned date for nuptials to content creator and mother of his three kids Diana Marua.
Despite previously postponing the big day, the sensational couple seem undeterred by critics and they’re so serious that apparently, a wedding is in the works.
Bahati said his wedding shall go down on the 22nd of an undisclosed month.
In his teasing post, he wrote: “The Bahati’s historic wedding 💒 official date 22nd… Guess the month?”
Bahati and Diana, who have been together for over seven years, have faced multiple delays and shifting timelines regarding their wedding plans. In 2023, Bahati paid Diana’s dowry, solidifying their commitment. Although Bahati hinted at a possible February wedding, he refrained from making any official announcements until he received confirmation from Diana.
“I think she’s talking of a date in February, so I don’t want to talk about it before she makes it official because I have been announcing, and it makes me look like a clout chaser,” he explained.
Bahati and Diana, who have been together for over seven years, initially planned to wed on December 12, 2023, but the wedding was postponed. The couple later rescheduled it for October 2024, aligning with their anniversary month. However, in a September interview, Bahati revealed that the plans were still uncertain, largely due to Diana’s indecision.
“We had planned our wedding for October 20, which is our anniversary day. But now Diana has been postponing every day. It’s not me anymore,” he candidly shared.
Despite their traditional union and Bahati paying Diana’s dowry in June 2023, the couple has yet to have a white wedding. The delay is attributed to their shifting priorities and Diana’s desire for everything to be perfect before moving forward.
The couple is also focused on raising their five children and balancing their careers, making timing difficult. While the wedding date remains in flux, they continue to hint at their upcoming celebration, keeping fans eagerly awaiting the big day.
