Actress Jackie Matubia is beaming with joy as her second daughter, Zendaya, begins her new chapter as a student. Unable to contain her excitement, Matubia took to Instagram to share photos and videos capturing Zendaya’s first day at school.
“Zendaya was truly happy, no tears, and as usual, she didn’t care much and even looked back as we left her at school,” Matubia shared.
Reflecting on the emotional moment, Matubia admitted that leaving Zendaya at school for the first time was bittersweet.
“I felt like a part of my soul was left behind. I was overwhelmed with emotions. Raising a child alone until they reach this milestone of going to school is a unique victory. All I can say is that God made it possible and will continue to do so,” she added, which seemed to hint at her ex-partner, Blessing Lung’aho.
Matubia and Lung’aho met on the popular TV program Zora on Citizen TV, which sparked the start of their romance. After the show ended, the couple got engaged and welcomed Zendaya into their family. A few months later, though, their relationship ended quietly, with Matubia implying that Lung’aho might not have taken an active role in raising their daughter.
Lung’aho has refrained from making any public remarks regarding the issue, opting to concentrate on his personal goals.
