Denis Pasha, husband to Nurse Judy recently shared a lengthy post online detailing his journey from hardship to success.
In the post, the father of two reflected on how, despite struggling to make ends meet, he once pretended to live a lifestyle they could barely afford, especially after losing a major source of income. According to Pasha, the desire to appear wealthy stemmed largely from Nurse Judy, who he mentions always had a taste for the finer things in life.
“LONG POST ALERT Xmas Photo 2017….Hapa we were living in Umoo, Tena Estate but yours truly @nurse_judy_ke alikua anashow mabeste zake tunaishi Buru… She was too embarrassed to say we live in Umooo… Pressure ya perceptions….Creases,” he began, as he took his followers on a trip down memory lane.
Denis further revealed how he eventually gave in to his wife’s desires and moved their family into a new home that cost nearly three times what they had been paying in rent.
“But aisee ile pressure nilipewa tuhame Umoo nilijua Sijui….That’s one thing about minez… She never jokes about wanting a better life…Niliskumwooo hadi I had to level Up! Within a year nilijipata Imaara Daima in a decent gated apartment complex. Felt like we had moved to Miami babeyyyy.”
He also noted the sharp rise in their living expenses, with rent jumping from 18K to a staggering 45K, plus service charges and higher electricity bills due to the new home’s water pump.
“The rent cost moved from 18k to a whooping 45K plus service charge, more electricity costs coz wueeh nyumba Ilikua na pump ya maji from ground floor tank to our penthouse,” Denis elaborated.
With the sudden lifestyle shift, things grew dire for him, and he found himself turning to loan apps to stay afloat. While Judy did contribute, her salary at the time was minimal, and her assistance barely made a dent in their growing financial struggles. However, this challenging period did not break Pasha’s spirit. Instead, it drove him to push harder for success and provide the lifestyle his family wanted.
“Mazeee I can’t lie…. Kusota na mimi Nilisota….Nilikua napita ile place ya Tokens kile time inanipiga Siren,
At that time she couldn’t chip in much as she’d just started her first job and her pay was not so good. Lawd….Nikua on almost every possible LOAN APP available on google play store….
But I knew this wasn’t sustainable….I had to find a sustainable way to keep up with my new reality… At that time I had closed down a failing business….My Pub at Umoo, polisi walikula kila kitu. So I went into an aggressive Job Search…. to increase My Income. I was applying almost 30 Jobs per day hadi I got one that was 2X my current PAY then,” he shared.
Concluding his post, Pasha praised his wife for her ambition, crediting Judy’s relentless drive for improvement for pushing him out of his comfort zone, which ultimately benefited the entire family.
“Looking back I appreciate how she has always pushed me to strive for Better and not settle for just average. I couldn’t see it then but sometimes you can only fly by Jumping,” he wrote.
Earlier last month, Nurse Judy opened up about how she stood by her husband through their financial struggles before his breakthrough. She recalled how they once lived in a tiny single room, but deep down, she always believed that a brighter future awaited them.
